SIERRA VISTA RANCH says it all - and has it all. The distant southwestern view from this valley at 1800’ is framed by rugged, jagged hills. Looking out from the porches, you can just imagine the era when the HONDO CREEK VALLEY was covered by inland seas.
The 103+ ACRE RANCH is a box canyon with end of the road privacy, easy access, two comfortable cabins and a variety of terrain. The present owners use it as a quiet family getaway for hunting, hiking and enjoying nature. It is located in the TEXAS HILL COUNTRY at TARPLEY, between BANDERA, UTOPIA and HONDO.
TERRAIN: The hilltops range from 1985’ to 2050’ and are connected by a saddle which opens up to northeasterly views overlooking Shadow Dance Ranch. In cold weather steam emits from two ridgeline caves to guide explorers to their location. Formed by ancient marine organisms, there is a calcite vein along the Jeep trail on the way to a high point and potential building site.
Below a canopy of trees at 1700’ there is a picnic area beside the winding ravine formed over the years by the fast-moving waters of a wet-weather creek. A previous owner was a naturalist who planted native trees at various locations on the property.
CABINS : No need to leave comfort behind when you visit SIERRA VISTA RANCH.
